About Akiru
School-specific preparation for independent school entrance
Akiru helps families prepare for UK independent school entrance at 10+, 11+ and 13+. Every school sets its own assessment, so we explain each one, school by school, and build practice in that school's own format.
What we do
- Free school guides. How each school assesses: the papers, timings, interviews and key dates, with a link to the school's own page and the date we last checked it.
- Prep packs. Printable practice papers written for one school at a time, with mark schemes and worked solutions. Original questions, never copied from a school or exam board. City of London School 11+ mock papers are on sale now; other schools are planned.
- 1:1 tuition. Online maths sessions with a named tutor, from 11+ entrance to A-Level.
We cover independent schools only. We don't produce grammar-school material.
Who we are
Akiru is independent and not connected with any school or exam board.
Every question, answer and mark scheme is reviewed and validated before it goes on sale.
How we work
We name the paper, the minutes, the date and the source. If a school hasn't published something, we say so.
We help children prepare; schools decide. We never promise outcomes.
We don't publish success rates or testimonials until we have real ones.
