Terms

Prep pack terms

Who you're buying from

Akiru is the trading name of Kiruthika Aingaran, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX. Email: kiru@akiru.co.uk. These terms apply when you buy a prep pack on akiru.co.uk, together with our website terms and privacy policy.

What a prep pack is

A prep pack is a set of printable practice papers (PDF files) written for one school's entrance assessment, with answer sheets, mark schemes, worked solutions and a timing guide. Each product page lists exactly which mocks it contains. The papers follow the school's published format, sections and timings as closely as we can. They are original practice material: they are not the school's papers, they are not endorsed by any school, and we don't promise any result.

Where a school sets part of its assessment on screen (for example adaptive online sections), a printed mock can match the content, sections and timings but cannot adapt to your child's answers. The product page says so where it applies.

How the questions are made

Our questions, mark schemes and worked solutions are written using artificial intelligence (AI). Every item is then reviewed and validated before the pack goes on sale. If you think a question or answer is wrong, please tell us and we'll check it and correct the pack.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include everything you pay; there are no extra fees. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Payment is taken securely at checkout by Wix Payments (Wix.com Ltd) and its payment processors; we never see your card details.

When we run an introductory price, the product page shows the price, when the offer ends and the price it will rise to. The offer ends on that date and the price then rises. We don't show invented "was" prices.

Delivery

After payment, your download link appears on the confirmation page and is emailed to you. The link works for 30 days. If you lose it, contact us and we'll resend it.

Your right to cancel

You normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because a prep pack is digital content that you can download straight away, at checkout we'll ask you to agree that the download can start immediately and to acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once it starts. If you don't agree, we can't supply the pack at that time. Your order confirmation email will record that you agreed to immediate download and acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel.

If something is wrong

Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren't affected. A pack must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty, won't open, or doesn't match its description, contact us and we'll fix or replace it. If we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you're entitled to some or all of your money back.

Licence: how you may use a pack

When you buy a pack, we give you a licence to use it within your own household, for your own children's preparation. You may print as many copies as your household needs. Please don't share, resell, upload or copy the files for anyone else. Each page carries a licence line and a pack identifier.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version that applies is the one shown when you buy. Questions: use our contact form.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, email kiru@akiru.co.uk. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days, telling you what we've done or why not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
